I admire her pagiging wais at simpleng tao.
At mukhang talagang masarap.
Listed below:
Homemade Spicy Gourmet Tuyo in Garlic and Corn Oil Recipe
(For 1 small jar)
Ingredients:
• 10 - 15 pcs tuyo/dried herring (may cost P20-P40)
• ½ cup corn oil
• 6 cloves garlic, crushed
• 1 pc. siling labuyo (you may add more if you want it spicier), chopped (or just cut into 3)
• ½ cup vinegar
• sugar (optional for those who want it sweet)
Instructions:
1. In a casserole, heat corn oil. Fry garlic until golden, add labuyo and vinegar.
2. Bring to a boil then turn off heat. Add sugar according to your preference. Set aside.
3. Fry tuyo. Remove scales, head and tail. (You may also break it in flakes.)
4. Arrange in a sterilized bottle (or covered dish).
5. Pour the oil-vinegar mixture over tuyo.
6. Store in the refrigerator for several days to a week to allow flavors to blend.
7. When ready to be served, heat over low fire and sprinkle with toasted garlic.
At pwede rin to tumagal sa ref up to 6 months!
Yan muna for now! See you on my next blog!
God bless us!
